Abstract

The rapid adoption of generative artificial intelligence in the workplace has transformed organizational practices and created the need to understand employees’ trust in AI-based technologies. This study aims to examine the influence of employee trust in Microsoft Copilot on work engagement, job satisfaction, and innovative work behavior among employees of an information technology company. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method through questionnaires distributed to 100 employees of an information technology company located in Sumbersari District, Jember Regency, East Java. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that employee trust in Microsoft Copilot has a positive influence on work engagement, job satisfaction, and innovative work behavior. This study highlights the importance of building employee trust in AI technologies to enhance workplace engagement, satisfaction, and innovation, providing practical implications for organizations implementing AI-based systems.
